Tim Hermans obtained a Master of Law from the Free University of Brussels (VUB) in 2021, with focus on financial & economic law. He joined Ariga as junior associate in October 2021.
Tim dedicated his master thesis to the "Trade practices in pharmaceutical health care: (un)availability and trade of medicines". In this dissertation, Tim examined the regulations and existing commercial practices and their impact on the (un)availability of medication for the Belgian market, all with a particular focus on the quality aspect of healthcare for Belgian patients.
Tim assists the regulatory team with legal research and drafting in the context of counseling and transactional work, as well as support for litigation.
Tim combines his traineeship with a mandate as researcher at the (VUB) for the Gosete research project lead by the ULB/VUB. In this context he analysis different legal questions related to exnovation as part of the governance of transition to a sustainable economy.
In his free time, Tim enjoys various activities such as: skiing, running, hiking, paddle and fitness, although he finds that a quiet evening at the movies can also be enjoyable.
