R. Feltkamp on the role of private law in tackling unsustainable business activities - Eubelius Sustainability Law Academy

On 13 June 2022 the law firm Eubelius organised a seminar “Sustainable Law Academy”.

R. Feltkamp was invited to speak with em.prof. L. Cornelis on "Private law & sustainable living, getting private law back on track". Their main claim is that private law contains several instruments ( besides liability claims, cfr. the Shell case) that allow to legally address businesses that deliberately pursue or continue to pursue business activities that are known to damage the environment and living conditions of the people.

The other topics presented were:

  • Introduction by J.M. Gollier

The power point presentations of the different contributions can be found here.
